| Xuzhou
medical college has been set up nearly for 50 years. Locating in the
north of Jiangsu Province, it cultivates professional medicine talents.In
order to meet the need of quickly development of medical imageology
,the Faculty of Medical Imageology of Xuzhou Medical College was founded
in 1994 , began to enroll in undergraduate students (five-year session)
in 1995. It was accredited to offer the master’s degree of oncology
in 1996 by the National Academic Degree Commission, which was the
only master’s degree conferring point in Jiangsu Province at that
time. From 1997, based on image diagnostics , the department was establishing
several specialties of medical image engineering, medical image technology,
microtraumatic medicine, radiotherapy. There are 840 students in our
department at present. The department has become one of the most completed
faculty of medical imageology in China . |
| For
cultivating students’professional knowledge and human civilization
diathesis , we follwing the guiding thought of teaching that regarding
the student as root and the teacher as principal part. In recent five
years,the department has got quite great progress and fast development
in so many aspects,such as subjects structure, teaching quality, teaching
facilities, teaching investigation, study style and integrated diathese
cultivating, teacher training,and so on. It was awarded by Jiangsu
Educational Commission as “Excellent Team” in the Blue-Indigo Program
in 2001. As the main courses of the department, X-ray diagnostics,
CT and MRI diagnostics, ultrasonic diagnostics, interventional radiology,
radiotherapy, are awarded as excellent courses group of the Province
in 2004. The interventional radiology department and radiology department
of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical College are the key clinical
departments in Jiangsu Province . |
| The
Faculty of Medical Imageology is well structured and staffed by more
than 70 highly qualified teachers.They own abundant clinic and teaching
experience.Thereinto , 7 professors and chief physicians ,16 associate
professors and vice-chief physicians ,25 docents and the physicians
in charge. Of those young and middle-aged teachers who are younger
than 45 years old, more than 50 percent hold doctor’s degree or master’s
degree. |
